Idaho Bass Hunters Meeting   6-14-07

Lou Probasco opened the meeting at about 7 o’clock.

Roger and Ron went to hay spur for the free fishing day and they said that there was

a great turn out like last year or maybe better. They said they all had a great time

watching and showing people how to fish . We thank them for making the effort and

taking their time to see that we are represented there .

We are going to have a yard sale on the 30th of this month so every one who

has something of value that they would like to donate needs to get a hold of MAX

543-4407. Max says he can maybe meet you some place to get it or you can come

and help out and bring it with you ,lets make this a good sale not a junk sale that

people won't want anything we have, I know all of us have some good items that we

would like to get rid of ,so lets get them to Max or find out where to take them too.

The sale will be at Spradling's in Buhl he is one of our sponsors. Call Max and he

can give you direction as to where they are.

Brad has asked us if we could change our meeting date from the second thurs. So

we voted to move it to the first thursday of the month . So our next meeting will be on the

5th of July. Make sure all of the partners and all you see know. We really need to see a

whole lot more members at our next meeting to discuss our open and see who can help

with the parking and other things that need to be done.

I have the open forms ready for everyone to fill out and get them back to me as soon

as possible so we can have an idea who is going to fish and who isn't.

We had a real cluster at Owyhee this last week with three boats being disqualified,

One was for a short fish, the other two was for being late with some issues that I would

like to know for sure why they happened like they did. It’s just too bad that everyone

has to be so blasted pissed off and not be able to talk about things before they get totally

out of hand. So I guess we will see where it all goes from this point I just hope that we

don't lose members over this. Just remember we are supposed to be fishing for fun

  not a million bucks.

Other than the problems we all had a good tournament and hopefully a pretty

good time Steve Paulson and Kevin Osborne was first with 23.75, Cliff Lockhart and

Brian Barton were second with 23.09, Jack Brooks and Sheridan Grifith was third

with 22.64 and Vern Rehn and Steve Vining were fourth with 21.26. Big fish was

Dale Taylor with one at 5.43, I ended up with big fish for our club at 5.12

Brian was a really close second with 5.11.

All of this just shows once again that you can win with out a trolling motor or a big one

Cliff and Brian had neither one the second day and not much the first. Congrats to all

and hope to see you ALL at the open lets bury the past and go fishing.
